Meet Pria

2014-03-02 15.56.40I have though about getting a dog for a while but never did. I ended up stumbling upon an add for free puppies and fell in love with one in the pictures. So I decided to get her. I am really glad she was “free” because day one we dropped several hundred bucks for a kennel, food, toys, potty pads and so on. Shes so sweet, she is part Labrador and pit bull, many have strong opinions of Pitts but i grew up with one that was the same mix with out any issues so i’m not worried about it.

One thing I ended up spending a bit more on was her dog food. I know that most lower costing companies used low grade products and fillers. I really don’t like that and I try (not the most successfully) to eat healthy so if I am taking on caring for a dog I felt like she should have something good for her so I choose Whole Earth Farms Puppy Food which is grain free and made from only good stuff… and the bag is really cute lol. I also decided to grab a few cans of their canned puppy food.

I also got the Petmate Kennel I got a bigger one because i wanted her to have some room even though its only for at night. I hate having to kennel her but with kids there is just no way to let her out at night especially as a puppy.

I also decided to join a few monthly subscriptions for her because she only has a few toys and since she is a puppy she will probably have them every where and destroy some if not all during her puppy-hood. I also rather enjoy my subscriptions so I picked a few (the ones with coupons for a discount on your first month!) to give them a try and to give us several batches a month of toys and treats for her. I though Bugsy box looked good and when i went to the site a thing for $10 off the first month popped up WIN! It brought the first box down to $9.00 and each box contains between 5 – 7 products in it!

The next box i choose was the Happy Dog Box. I choose it because the products looked good and seemed like one with products i might choose myself, and it had a code on the site for 50% off the first month, YEAH! I love discounts if you cant tell. If you click my link you can get a 50% coupon from me referring you. I really liked that they broke it down by the dogs size too so i know she will be getting things that are for her specifically!

The last actual box I joined for Pria was the Spoiled Rotten Box, everything they showed looked good and I felt they would be a good fit. On the site the offer $5 off your first month.

The last “subscription” I choose was Doggie Lawn I don’t have much of a yard and its not always easy to get her to go outside so I thought this could be perfect so that hopefully she understands to potty on the grass and not my floor, shes doing better than she was. At first she would just go wherever but over the last few days she has started to run to the potty mats I got her. I still feel the lawn could be better but i have never tried anything like it so hopefully it will work for her!

Once everything comes I will post pictures of the boxes and the lawn, I will also do unboxing videos and reviews.

Cult Cosmetics Black Box unboxing

I was excited to see my black box from Cult Cosmetics in the mail today. This is the first Cult box i have gotten so i was eager to take a peek at the goodies inside.

Everything was nicely packaged and arrived in a sturdy box. There was also a free shipping on the thank you card.Cult_cosmetics_january_box_3

Here is what was actually in the box, 3 nail colors and also a white nail art polish.Cult_cosmetics_january_box_4

here is everything side by side. The colors are from left to right Abbot Kinney, Hollywood Hills, Los Feliz. I ended up painting my nails with Hollywood hills, it took about 4 coats to get it fully opaque but i love the color.Cult_cosmetics_january_box_5

I also ordered this as an add on, its called Modern Matte, it makes any color matte when painted over it, very cool! I used it over my nails and it came out really cool! All in all I enjoyed the box and the box its self is $19.95 a month + shipping.

You can watch my unboxing video here.

Subscription boxes

I adore subscription boxes

I really love getting little things in the mail, be it a good coupon or a free sample! Even when i receive something i ordered online its always like a mini celebration of boxes, tissue paper and irritating tape lol. I joined the Julep nail polish subscription about 6 months ago, and most of the time i like it though i did skip a month because nothing in the collection really interested me. I have a box that should be here soon, the shipping is crazy fast! I will be doing a reveal post and video on you tube once it arrives.

I also decided to try Citrus lane, Bluum, Ipsy and Conscious Box, so i am definitely looking forward to getting those and reviewing them, i will do reveal post and videos for each of them as well. The first 2 are baby themed, my little one doesn’t have a ton of toys so i figured we could try each box for at least a month and see if we can get some decent eco friendly toys, from all the pictures i have seen they both look like they have good offerings so it should be exciting to open them with her! The conscious box is all eco friendly products that don’t have harsh chemicals and are all natural, should be really cool to get to try new things each month. I joined ipsy after watching a few videos of the products from previous months and then seeing that its only $10 a month, wow! After I signed up it said i was wait listed so i was really bummed, but i just got an email (about 6 hours later) saying my subscription is now active and i will be receiving my Ipsy bags starting February! YAY!!! I have to say I am super excited about Ipsy, the products in every bag look awesome and the bags each month are really cute, im not sure i really need a little cosmetic bag every month but they would certainly make cute gifts! (they show the previous ones once you have an account possibly without but cant tell because i saw it through my account) I am a beauty product junkie, and love trying new products but that can be expensive. I absolutely love that i can try a handful every month for only $10 definitely wont break the bank.

My oldest and is mixed and has curly textured hair i love trying new things on her hair so i may also join curl kit but i havent decided yet so we will see. I do like the idea of getting things to try I wouldnt go and buy full size, it would be nice to have a bunch of trial sizes to try out, though they do usually offer something full size in their boxes also, which is kind of nice also.

This year should be full of new content, topics and reviews Im super excited!
