I was excited to see my black box from Cult Cosmetics in the mail today. This is the first Cult box i have gotten so i was eager to take a peek at the goodies inside.

Everything was nicely packaged and arrived in a sturdy box. There was also a free shipping on the thank you card.Cult_cosmetics_january_box_3

Here is what was actually in the box, 3 nail colors and also a white nail art polish.Cult_cosmetics_january_box_4

here is everything side by side. The colors are from left to right Abbot Kinney, Hollywood Hills, Los Feliz. I ended up painting my nails with Hollywood hills, it took about 4 coats to get it fully opaque but i love the color.Cult_cosmetics_january_box_5

I also ordered this as an add on, its called Modern Matte, it makes any color matte when painted over it, very cool! I used it over my nails and it came out really cool! All in all I enjoyed the box and the box its self is $19.95 a month + shipping.

January Julep unboxing

I have been a member of the Julep Maven club for 7 months now, and have received 6 boxes. I skipped one of the boxes. Here is my photo unboxing if you would like to watch my video of this you can find it here.

This is my 6th box from Julep and every time a box arrives i am always impressed with their packaging from the outside in they really do a fabulous job of packaging and presenting. The box is always colored and is very sturdy, The inside always has a little tissue paper to cover the goodies and then the bottomed is filled with crimped paper strips which even they seem like they are good quality which i always re-use in a gift bag or in the shipping box for birthdays or occasions as they come up.

This is what you see when you open the box and pull the tissue back. As you can see everything is set in the box nicely. It always feels like a little present.

Here are the 3 nail colors I ordered these were actually add-ons I choose after picking the Modern Beauty Box for January. My style profile says I am an “it girl” which is usually pretty close but its nice they let you mix it up and try whatever style you want. I choose Farrah, Annemarie and Abigail. I love the extra detail how they even box up each polish!

here is everything that was in the box before i unbox it all.

Here is everything removed from their boxes. My actual box was the vanish cuticle softener and remover, Ta da! quick dry drops and the Julep essential cuticle oil. They also included 2 cuticle pusher sticks.

I am very happy with everything i received I love that they offer a box that doesn’t have any nail polish because i really do not need 3 every month… though i still choose 3 anyway lol. I have used Julep now for 6 months and will definitely continue, the products are always very nice and are really great quality definitely worth $20 a month!

If you are interested in trying Julep you can click here and get a free month! If its free its for me! I jumped on that offer and am really glad I did!

I adore subscription boxes

I really love getting little things in the mail, be it a good coupon or a free sample! Even when i receive something i ordered online its always like a mini celebration of boxes, tissue paper and irritating tape lol. I joined the Julep nail polish subscription about 6 months ago, and most of the time i like it though i did skip a month because nothing in the collection really interested me. I have a box that should be here soon, the shipping is crazy fast! I will be doing a reveal post and video on you tube once it arrives.

I also decided to try Citrus lane, Bluum, Ipsy and Conscious Box, so i am definitely looking forward to getting those and reviewing them, i will do reveal post and videos for each of them as well. The first 2 are baby themed, my little one doesn’t have a ton of toys so i figured we could try each box for at least a month and see if we can get some decent eco friendly toys, from all the pictures i have seen they both look like they have good offerings so it should be exciting to open them with her! The conscious box is all eco friendly products that don’t have harsh chemicals and are all natural, should be really cool to get to try new things each month. I joined ipsy after watching a few videos of the products from previous months and then seeing that its only $10 a month, wow! After I signed up it said i was wait listed so i was really bummed, but i just got an email (about 6 hours later) saying my subscription is now active and i will be receiving my Ipsy bags starting February! YAY!!! I have to say I am super excited about Ipsy, the products in every bag look awesome and the bags each month are really cute, im not sure i really need a little cosmetic bag every month but they would certainly make cute gifts! (they show the previous ones once you have an account possibly without but cant tell because i saw it through my account) I am a beauty product junkie, and love trying new products but that can be expensive. I absolutely love that i can try a handful every month for only $10 definitely wont break the bank.

My oldest and is mixed and has curly textured hair i love trying new things on her hair so i may also join curl kit but i havent decided yet so we will see. I do like the idea of getting things to try I wouldnt go and buy full size, it would be nice to have a bunch of trial sizes to try out, though they do usually offer something full size in their boxes also, which is kind of nice also.

This year should be full of new content, topics and reviews Im super excited!
